Hospitality

Cleveland Clinic Hospital  (2001)

The Naples, Florida Hospital for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation was the first inpatient project designed & built by Marshall Erdman & Associates.  It was also the pilot project for developing a comprehensive program of design strategies, vocabulary and a corresponding operational plan for “Healing Hospitality”.  The goal was to transform the inpatient experience to one as close to a stay in a 4-star hotel while fully supporting world-class medical care.

I had the opportunity to coordinate the architectural exploration & development of the concept, and led the application of the program to the Naples hospital project and a series of implementation projects on the Clinic’s main campus in Cleveland.
